Sept 13, 2011Many years ago a colleague leading a training class asked us this as we started, "Who here can say they are getting more respect than they need?" Can you imagine a world where that was the case - getting more respect than you need? Is that possible? And in my singularly focused way, can you imagine a work culture where you were getting more respect than you needed?
Actually I do. I talk about it all the time, and even though others think this is a great idea too, we still have a hard time describing it together. You are going to see me writing even more about this, but for the moment, I want to leave you with a quotation that inspired me to believe in my own vision of the possibilities that can happen when humans treat each other humanly at work.

seriously impacts the future, for all of us." - Gail Purcell Elliott We have enough going on in our society today, in big and small ways, that leaves us feeling not seen and that we don't matter. What are you doing today, to ensure those around you feel treated humanly? What are you doing to teach others to treat you humanly? It really does start there.
