The Trap of "Not Enough" | |||
Nov 23, 2011
I read a great article yesterday about how we define "enough," and how it colors so many aspects of life.
Though the article was not Thanksgiving-related it helped remind me that being caught up in what I lack distracts me from being grateful for what I have. And there is so much to be grateful for.
Today I just want to leave you to ponder this quotation. We can be generous and grateful without it costing a dime. And if I may be so bold to add to the thought of Albert Schweitzer, don't just "think" the gratitude, express it.
"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us." With Appreciation of You,
Mary Schaefer
