[ReImagineWork] No Leader is an Island

Have you ever really read the poem, "No an is an Island?"

"No Man is an Island"

Entire of itself,
Every man is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thy friend's
Or of thine own were:
Any man's death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in mankind,
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee." - John Donne

I never really read this poem in its entirety until recently.  Why?  I received a motivational email suggesting I write my own "acknowledgements."  You know, like when an author writes a book and thanks everyone who made it possible.  It brought to mind, "No Man is an Island."

If you had to write your own acknowledgements for who helped you along your own leadership journey, who would be on the list?  Click here to continue reading my post on this subject, featured at the Lead Change Group blog, and see what "No clod left behind" means too :)
