TED talks & getting a hit of inspiration,
information, thought-provocation or all of the above

Don't know what a TED talk is, or TEDx? Click here to find out more.

Really quickly...
TED = Technology, Entertainment, Design: "Ideas worth spreading."

It's been a bit over a year now since my TEDx experience. Now five of my friends, acquaintances and colleagues are speaking at the upcoming TEDx Wilmington (Delaware, USA) event, Oct. 28 -- the theme being Pioneering and Innovating. I'm delighted for them.

3 of my many favorite TED talks: inspiring, informative, thought-provoking

Jill Bolte-Taylor
My Stroke of Insight. Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor woke one morning and she realized she was having a massive stroke. She remembered every moment. Her description of her experience and how her stroke redefined how she sees the world can't help but make you think.

Simon Sinek
Simon breaks it down with such simplicity. You don't have to be a leader to learn how to influence others with what matters at our core as human beings, "the why."

Yasser Payne
For me, Yasser, Associate Professor in the Department of Black American Studies at the University of Delaware, not only breaks down stereotypes effectively, but inspires me with his vision and impact. He made what could be a dry research project into a life-changing success story.

Just sayin'

You can get lost in TED talks -- on their website, YouTube, Netflix, etc. But the good news is, it is almost always time well spent. Enjoy.
My Best,

P.S.  If you're local to the Wilmington, Delaware, USA area, there are only 3 days until TEDx Wilmington 2015 AND only a few tickets left. Get yours here! (Full disclosure: I get nothing from promoting TEDx Wilmington except the satisfaction of sharing ideas worth spreading.)
